Associate Senior Associate
The Leveraged Finance team, comprising over 70 investment professionals, arranges and underwrites Senior and Unitranche debt facilities from €75,000,000 upwards. From our offices in London, Paris and Frankfurt we work with private equity sponsors and companies across Europe.
Role Summary/Purpose
The Associate/Senior Associate will work on the execution of pan-European Senior and Unitranche leveraged finance mandates (LBOs, Recapitalisations, Refinancings). Working closely with private equity clients and internal stakeholders, he/she will support the team in transaction structuring, credit analysis, due diligence, negotiation, and documentation.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct detailed credit analysis based on proprietary and third party due diligence and recommend appropriate debt structures and terms
- Prepare comprehensive financial models and credit memoranda for the credit committee
- Support the internal credit and approval process for proposed transactions, from inception through to completion
- Actively participate in private equity and management meetings, due diligence debrief sessions, and document negotiations
- Review term sheets and legal documentation
- Interface with internal functions during deal execution process and funding
Qualification/Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience in Leveraged Finance, debt Advisory, Private Equity, MA or Transaction Services
- BS/BA degree from a Tier-1 university
- Strong written and oral communication skills, in English and German (oral and written)
- Strong technical skills especially in financial analysis and modelling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning and process-strategy skills
- Attention to detail in a time sensitive environment
- Decision making ability and own initiative
- Good interpersonal skills and Team Player
- Flexibility in work hours during deal times.
