Associate Strategist/New business specialist recruitment
The primary responsibilities of the role include:
- Development and maintenance of communication material for the GIS prospect and client base in Europe, the Americas and Asia on delivering multi-asset capabilities both in wholesale and institutional channels.
- Ensuring best practise across locations by working with GIS colleagues in similar roles in Chicago, Zurich and Hong Kong.
- Close involvement in the GIS Investment process, portfolio management and analysis, which includes data sourcing, compilation, calculation, research and analysis, attending strategy setting meetings to gain a detailed understanding of the rationale underpinning GIS managed portfolios and ensure and effective communication.
Skills / Background
Candidates should possess the following skills /qualifications:
- Some relevant experience either in a portfolio analyst, portfolio specialist or RfP role within Asset Management or as a communications expert with strong understanding of asset management and financial markets, ideally with exposure to and knowledge of Multi-Asset / balanced investment strategies.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, including the ability to organise and deliver under time pressure in collaboration with colleagues from various functions in several locations outside of the UK
- Excellent knowledge of powerpoint combined with the ability to develop effective, simple and intuitive communication material for complex multi-asset investment strategies
- Fundamental understanding of investment concepts knowledge of what drives economies and markets. Good understanding of investment instruments in fixed income, equity, currency and derivatives markets
- Team player with a strong desire to collaborate across locations, able to integrate different perspectives and leverage creativity of collegues
Ideally a graduate degree or equivalent. The IMC/CFA level 1 (or equivalent) would be ideal.
