The CDO team is a growing and successful team operating in niche markets where innovation is a key component of our working practise.
Responsibilities
- Develop thorough knowledge of the SP Ratings Criteria and have the ability to contribute to the development of the criteria.
- Be very familiar with credit and cash flow modeling
- Position requires analyst to work across primary issuance, surveillance and research functions across CLO, CDS, SME Corporate Securitisation areas.
- Primary issuance role involving both cashflow and synthetic transactions, asset repackaging - tasks including analysis of portfolio credit, legal documentation review and cashflow modelling.
- Surveillance role involving the analysis of existing transactions incorporating the qualitative quantitative performance into the analysis.
- Writing of research pieces for internal and external use - typically associated structured credit market trends performance.
- Be able to work on new transactions, which require development of methodology and criteria
- Assist junior analysts
- Develop asset class and industry knowledge, participate in external seminars, meetings
Skills
· University graduate, with a solid work experience in credit derivatives/CDOs.
· The ability to think analytically; the ability to understand and evaluate complex issues.
· The ability to collate information into reasoned arguments.
· A working knowledge and experience of any of the asset classes - CDO's, RMBS, ABS, ABCP, CMBS, emerging markets or covered bonds.
· Sound knowledge of credit, risk and structural issues
· Have reviewed cash flow models previously
· Numeracy and the ability to think analytically and to understand and evaluate complex issues
· The ability to manage competing priorities and manage one's own time effectively
· The ability to work under pressure and within a team
· Highly developed communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
