Associate/Vice President, Trade Finance Working Capital Product Expert, Corporate Banking, Asian Investment Bank, London. Salary: competitive + bonus
My client, a top international Asian investment bank, are looking to make the hire of an Associate or Associate Director level Trade Finance Working Capital Product Expert to join their Corporate Banking Team in London.
The role:
- Working as broader corporate banking team, you will have a focus on the development and commercialisation of a variety of key product lines with a view to increasing the bank’s revenues. Focus will be on: Trade Finance, Open Accounts, Working Capital, Cash Management and also more exotic products such as FX and structured commodity/trade finance.
- You will also have responsibility for monitoring and controlling the performance of these key product areas whilst keeping abreast of regulatory changes, technological development, corporate needs and competition in the market.
- Consulting with internal and external customers and the sales network, you will be required to provide trade finance/ working capital/ cash management solutions – from structuring through to the execution of the transaction. It is essential that you are familiar with the preparation and presentation of credit applications/credit submission, the negotiation and execution of legal documentation and the on-going collateral and regulatory management of facilities in collaboration with risk and operational teams.
- Current product coverage within the team is on traditional vanilla products including standby L/Cs, bilateral, however candidates who have more exotic experience are of interest given potential expansion plans of the team into the FX, commodity structured finance and structured trade finance area.
Requirements:
• It is essential that candidates have previous banking experience with significant experience in the trade finance/ working capital/ cash management space.
• You must be well-versed in the written/documentary aspect of transactions – this will be a key component of your role.
• This role suits a very driven, ambitious candidate with sales-type personality. You should have excellent relationship management skills to coordinate with departments internally at the bank and also with external parties alike.
