The Investor Relations AVP will support both the investor relations and marketing teams. The AVP will be liaising with various groups throughout the firm, including Financial Reporting, Investments and Legal. He or she will be responsible for supporting existing and prospective investors and assisting with fund and co-investment marketing, structuring and closing, as well as working on new product development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The AVP will be responsible for managing multiple transactions and processes simultaneously, and will be tasked with managing a workload which includes both ongoing individual responsibilities and collaborative assignments alongside and/or as a support for others in the group.
• Manage and fulfill investor information requests in a timely manner to support CIM’s investor base. Must have strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task, work expeditiously, liaise with different groups within CIM, and understand basic financial/accounting concepts.
• Create and edit presentations for CIM’s different offerings, including funds, co-investments, and new products.
• Work with the Investments Group and Financial Reporting to prepare reporting information for investors. Handle distribution of deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency. Must be thorough, methodical, detail-oriented and able to conceptually understand the information that is being prepared.
• Ability to identify, understand and relay investment and fund strategies, strengths, risks and other pertinent information to investors in a cohesive and efficient manner.
• Carry out weekly, quarterly, annual and other reporting information mailings electronically to existing investors. Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to stay at or come back to the office as late as needed to complete the task.
• Draft and review investor due diligence questionnaires which are used in fundraising and ensure timely completion.
• Research and update internal portfolio analyses quarterly and as needed, which allows CIM to respond quickly to investor requests pertaining to such data.
• Assist in organizing CIM’s Annual Meeting with its investors, including the editing and production of all materials. Must be detail-oriented, methodical and thoughtful.
• Take on ad hoc projects and support all other teammates with their work as needed. Requires flexibility, good communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Draft and update marketing materials including PPM and flipbooks to support marketing team in their fundraising efforts.
• Assist in the preparation of follow-up due diligence requests generated from fundraising efforts.
• Organize and prepare for investor meetings and tours, including creating agendas, scheduling asset tours and providing all materials and presentations. Attendance at meetings and some travel may be required.
• Work with IR analysts to maintain CIM investor website content.
• Create and edit marketing investor materials for co investment and funds
• Monitor the investor relations CRM database. Along with the IT Group, expand functionality as needed.
• Run data rooms for co-investment transactions
• Should have solid working command of Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word, including the ability to lightly format final documents so that they appear neat and are presentable to investors and external parties
Educational/Experience Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc):
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years experience or MBA grad with relevant experience
• Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or business owners, boards of directors.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical materials, financial reports and/or legal documents.
