Associate/Assoc. Director – Compliance – Singapore recruitment
The candidate will join the regulatory and internal compliance team of the company's legal regulations department. The candidate will be expected to take on the regulatory aspects for all of the company's transactions.
Core functions:
- Managing and overseeing regulatory compliance issues. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing systems/processes for monitoring shareholder disclosure and other regulatory trigger thresholds in Singapore and 47 other jurisdictions;
- Continually reviewing and updating of such systems/processes for changes in regulations;
- Making filings of shareholder disclosures, if triggered;
- Identifying and managing applications for relevant regulatory approvals (e.g. waiver for takeover triggered by share buy backs by relevant portfolio companies);
- Advising management on general regulatory compliance requirements; and
- Generally ensuring compliance by the firm with all regulatory issues in relevant jurisdictions and investments.
- You will also work closely with transactional lawyers on regulatory aspects of MA transactions.
Qualifications/Capabilities:
- At least a degree in Law
- Preference will be given to those with 4 or more years relevant working experience such as in MA, general corporate law or as in-house legal counsel
- Candidates with regulatory and internal compliance experience will have an advantage
- Good analytical skills
- High level of interpersonal, specifically communication and writing skills
- Ability to project manage across multiple functional areas within the company
