Associate/Business Analyst

Our client, a fast growing financial and operational consulting firm, is seeking to hire an Associate Consultant within their Law firm consulting group.

The role will involve identifying and implementing effective strategies for clients across merger acquisitions, remuneration, client development and financial management areas. Associates are expected to work with Managers and Directors to identify client needs, carry out the analysis and develop solutions to the complex issues facing our clients.

They will be expected to be involved with developing new opportunities within existing clients based on strong relationships and sound industry knowledge.

Responsibilities:

* Engagements
- Manages and carries out specific tasks on mid-sized to larger engagements
- Manages (under supervision) smaller engagements
- Assists with budgeting, time recording and record keeping on engagements
- Delegates and oversees research activities linked to engagements
- Provides support in assembling reports and presentations
- Able to prepare "client-ready" output with input from managers and directors
* Develops client relationship skills
* Business development
- Seek to identify opportunities for additional services when working with existing clients
- Participation in proposal writing and other marketing activities
- Pursues a personal plan to build own reputation in our core sectors
* Demonstrates strong industry and practice knowledge.

Job Requirements:
* First degree with a strong analytical element (e.g. sciences, engineering, mathematics, business, law);
* 3-4 years experience in a combination of the following:
- Big 4 or similar consulting experience
- Law department with a focus on operations or internal consulting role
- Law firm with a focus on business development, finance department or internal consulting role ;
* Proficient users of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
