Asst General Accountant
Travelex is the world’s largest global non-bank wholesale foreign exchange supplier as well as the world’s largest retail foreign exchange specialist. With over 780 Travelex Retail branches principally in airports and tourist locations across 25 countries they also have partner relationships in over 100 countries and 20,000 locations across the globe. They provide foreign currency solutions to financial institutions, supermarkets and travel agencies as well as fulfilling individual orders for their customers. Products and services include foreign currency ATMs, retail banknotes, wholesale banknote fulfilment, the distribution of insurance policies and the issuing of the innovative prepaid Cash Passport product to individuals travelling on business and leisure.
As a result of an internal re-structure of their finance department, Hays has been approached to assist with the recruitment of a number of positions; this role will fulfil general accounting duties such as processing of fixed assets, journal processing, intercompany reconciliations, supporting the closure of ledgers at month end and feeding in to P L and trial balance and production of regulatory reports.
We are looking for someone with good general ledger experience who has started studying towards a professional accounting qualification such as AAT, CIMA or ACCA.
