Assurance Manager - Japanese Business Services: Deliver quality assurance services to our clients and their stakeholders. Supervise the engagement team in performing audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialized issues for Japanese based corporations. Collaborate to plan engagement objectives and an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk. Understand the client's industry (Japanese Business Services), and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments. Stay informed of general business/economic developments and their impact to Japanese based corporations. Oversee the audit work of Staff and Senior employees. Participate in the timely performance reviews for Staff and Senior level employees and help to develop and guide staff and other junior audit professionals by providing effective performance feedback/training and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals. Lead by example. Participate in generating new business opportunities. Identify business development opportunities and assist Partners and Senior Managers on proposals and new business opportunities by drafting responses, participating in the proposal process, building client relationships with Japanese businesses, demonstrating knowledge of client business and communicating directly with Japanese corporations. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills. Maintain cooperative relationships with other engagement teams. Monitor the engagement team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed.
