ATC Specialist with Safety Risk Management
Security Clearance: Public Trust REQUIRED A Certified Professional Controller in either a civilian or military environment. Previous experience in an operational environment such as an En Route facility (ARTCC), Terminal Air Traffic Control Facility (TRACON), or high activity/complex Control Tower required DESCRIPTION This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Center (WSC) Operations Support Group. The candidate will provide support to various Air traffic Control Towers, Terminal radar Approach Controls (TRACON), Air Route Traffic Control centers (ARTCC) and FAA Air Traffic Organization headquarters and Regional offices. Routine duties will include: review requests for charting, airspace development and management, procedures development and review, special events impacting the National Airspace System (NAS), traffic management support, Special Use Airspace (SUA) management, Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR), procedural waiver reviews, and document change proposals (DCP) to ensure timelines and handbook requirements are met. The candidate will use a variety of systems including but not limited to TARGETS, RNAV PRO, PDARS, SDAT, OE/AAA, POET, TEMS, DACS, and SOAR. Additionally, the candidate will provide support in identifying, analyzing, coordinating, resolving, and reporting the resolution of the implementation issues generated by on-going projects. DESIRED Prior Staff Specialist Engineering Planner Staff experience in a FAA Air Traffic Control Facility, Regional Office, or Headquarters staff is desired. Highly developed presentation skills, self-motivated and a proactive team player, excellent written and oral communication, and proficient with MS Office software. A Total Value package.
