The Team
The ATM team's goals are to optimise the customer experience and ATM fleet, whilst effectively managing costs and revenue. We work closely with several internal and external suppliers to achieve these goals. Our external customers include all Commonwealth Bank cardholders and cardholders of other financial institutions who choose to use our ATMs. Our internal customers and suppliers include many areas right across the Bank, primarily within Retail Banking Services and Enterprise Services.
What will success look like?
- You will assist the Head of ATMs and Manager ATMs with management and development of the ATM Business, including delivering strategic plans and other assignments within agreed timeframe and budget, as well as providing effective change management and implementation.
- You will assist the Manager ATMs to review all new ATM requests, utilising a variety of inputs and supporting data ensuring all recommendations meet the current business strategy.
- Together with colleagues in finance, you will plan, present and update annual budgets for revenue and expenses, including re-forecasting as required in addition to the provision of monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
- Through ongoing research and analysis of both the Bank's own fleet and the broader ATM industry, you will maintain a high degree of ATM knowledge in order to provide expert advice to various internal stakeholders regarding effective ATM configuration, deployment and service strategies.
- Through regular meetings, discussions and reporting, you will maintain a close working relationship with relevant internal customers and suppliers (including Cash ATM Services, Corporate Services, Marketing, Finance and Enterprise Services) and external suppliers (including ITS, TCS, Telstra, Colliers, industry).
- You will assist the Manager ATMs to develop, analyse and recommend responses to business development opportunities and tenders.
What will help you succeed?
- Advanced proficiency in written and oral communication, business and financial analysis and PC skills, including MS Office.
- Advanced commercial acumen.
- Sound change management capability.
- Financial system and ATM business experience are desirable.
- Formal qualifications are not essential, however a tertiary degree in accounting, finance or a related area is highly desirable. A postgraduate degree would be equally advantageous.
