Overall Purpose: Supervises management employees who supervise non-mgmt subordinates in the inventory planning and materials management function. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for all or most of the following: inventory planning, master scheduling, materials handling, inventory turnover, customer service levels, stocking decisions, forecasting, and the administrative controls at all distribution facilities. Controls inventory of purchased parts and materials consistent with schedule, quality and investment objectives. May also be responsible for the operation of company owned or leased warehouses. Assists in the establishment and administration of unit objectives, policies, procedures and systems. Participates in the development of goals and budgets for area of responsibility. Performs personnel and administrative functions such as adherence to accident prevention plan, motor vehicle and forklift operations. Directs the activities of subordinate managers in procuring specific groups of commodities and/or services for the organization. Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Influences decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates. Responsible for the following areas for direct reports - career planning, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Education: Preferred bachelors degree and or 5 years or more experience in field. Experience: Typically 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in field and or certification may be required. Supervisory: Yes. Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to ATTs compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
