ATT Senior Product Marketing Manager, Devices- WA
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager in the Device Accessory Portfolio organization you will spearhead and execute on the development, marketing, and strategy of premium Android smartphones in the ATT portfolio. In this role you will take devices from concept to maturity including defining the overall customer experience, positioning, value proposition, and target market. The person in this role is expected to lead cross-functional teams including Product Development, Operations, Finance, Business Development, Channel Management, Legal, Training, and Marketing Communications specialists to launch new products and services. You will also provide future roadmap input based on anticipated customer needs, competitive landscape, and market and technology trends.
- Product Marketing and Business Planning: Develop product line strategy from end to end including product-market fit and marketing strategy, setting business goals, positioning, pricing recommendation, communications, distribution channels, solution ecosystem, promotion strategies, sales tools, and forecasting
- Offer Lifecycle Management: Evaluate and enhance solution elements, distribution channels, pricing, and promotional activities to achieve business goals. Partner with Supply Chain to manage inventory. Manage gross adds, revenue and customer retention goals by partnering with distribution channels, Product Development, Sales, and Offer development and Negotiation. Monitor performance based on gross add, revenue, churn, ARPU, and marketing program targets
- Marketing Analysis: Use customer feedback, market research, and social media monitoring to assess market and customer dynamics and incorporate into offer development and lifecycle activities. Perform regular competitive analysis to rate product capabilities, pricing, promotion, distribution; analyze how these impact market share; recommend and implement changes required to be competitive. Rationalize solution offerings by performing map/gap analysis against current offering and market opportunities
- Product Definition: Define product attributes and features to deliver differentiated solutions. Craft and implement user experience requirements with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Partner with Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, and the vendor partner to ensure high quality customer experience is delivered
- Marketing Programs: Develop marketing strategy and work with Marketing Services team and alliance ecosystem partners to operationalize marketing programs, including collateral, web, advertising, PR, events, acquisition and customer-based marketing and sales promotions. Partner with distribution channels and Field Marketing to implement and track initiatives
- Pricing: Work with Finance, Supply Chain, National Marketing and other teams to set and communicate pricing, and promotions to meet business goals, cost objectives and ensure compelling and competitive offer
- Partner Management: Collaborate with partners to meet offer requirements. Partner with key hardware and software vendors to create an end-to-end solution. Develop joint selling and marketing programs designed to grow revenue and market share, expand distribution channels and market reach, create bundles, and secure funding and dedicated resources
This position is located in Redmond, WA.
- Five or more years of experience in marketing or product management in telecommunications, hi-tech or electronics-related industries
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to partner with internal cross functional teams
- Self starter with excellent written, verbal and oral presentation skills
- Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other standard office computer applications
- Proven ability to translate ideas and vision into product definition and requirements
- Master's degree
- Working knowledge of Android smartphones or other mobile OS platforms
- Experience in a Technology Start-Up
- Experience in wireless services, data, and / or high tech industry--messaging experience
- Experience managing partners and vendors to include marketing development funds, partner field sales/marketing representatives, and partner strategy
