The Attorney position will primarily be responsible for handling intellectual property, including registration, and maintenance of trademarks and copyrights as well as legal review of advertising materials. Position responsibilities include the following:
· Responsible for review process and legal review of all advertising materials, tv/radio/internet ads, point-of purchase materials, menu item names, and menus.
· Address questions from business team concerning proposed advertising initiatives, including contests.
· Supervise team handling intellectual property, including registration, and maintenance of trademarks and copyrights.
· Take appropriate steps to protect the company’s intellectual property.
Requirements:
JD from an accredited law school and admittance to practice law in the State of Connecticut required and 3+ years of related experience, including supervisory experience, required. Knowledge of trademark and copyright law; advertising law; FDA and FTC regulatory provisions and applicable state regulations required. The qualified candidate will also possess effective written and oral communication skills, be detail oriented, and possess the ability to supervise and coordinate the efforts of staff.
