Audit – Financial Services
My client, a Big 4 firm, are looking for a newly qualified Audit Advisor to join their Financial Services Team based in Edinburgh. If you are looking to build a career with a leading accountancy firm and gain exposure to a range of Financial services clients, this role may be of interest.
You will work as part of a team providing audit and non-audit services across the banking, insurance and investment management sectors. This will involve the provision of services to a portfolio of audit clients, covering both internal and external audit clients. Tasks will include managing the staffing of the job, the financial performance and ensuring that key deadlines are achieved.
A key aspect will be managing work undertaken in connection with internal and external audit reviews, reporting directly to a manager or director. You will also have the opportunity to attend internal and external team and client meetings and conduct interviews with key client contacts.
You will hold a CA or ACCA qualification and have experience of working with UK GAPP, US GAPP and IFRS. In addition you should be experienced in Audit planning and overseeing Audits from start to finish. Strong communication skills are also essential. Previous experience of dealing with Financial Services clients would be highly advantageous alongside experience of financial reporting in areas such as SAS7 and SOX.
