Audit Manager
BDO LLP is a large accounting practice that is renowned for its expertise in working with Energy and Natural Resources clients. They are looking to expand their managerial team by taking on an experienced Audit Manager to work with energy, mining and oil gas clients. The team provides extensive audit and assurance services for its large clients within that sector, such as FTSE350 listed clients.
The role involves owning and managing your own portfolio of clients, completing some of the hands-on audit work throughout the planning stages through the completion, but mainly reviewing and managing the work that is done by junior members of staff. There will be a large amount of client contact, and you will act as the main point of contact for all of your portfolio of clients and others. There will also be an ad hoc advisory component to this role.
Ideal candidates will be ACA/ACCA qualified working in a similar position at another accounting firm. Experience working with EMI clients is necessary, but it does not have to make up a candidate's entire current portfolio. Proven written/verbal communication and client management skills are essential. Experience managing and mentoring junior members of staff is essential to succeed in this role.
