Up to £55,000 base + £4,000 cash allowances + benefits + bonus

My client, a world-leading bank, is currently looking for an internal auditor to join their diverse Global Internal Audit team. This function provides independent and objective assurance to management and the audit / risk committee regarding the adequacy and functionality of the framework of risk management, control and governance processes. This global bank is known for providing a wide range of products across all business lines by combining the best of local knowledge with international expertise.
As an audit manager, you will be tasked with supporting and managing audits of the key risks in the Insurance Pensions business, which encompasses the Retail Banking and Wealth Management businesses. Your work will be focused around insurance risk and conduct risks related to insurance products. You will be responsible for obtaining and analysing information around the adequacy of internal controls, whilst ensuring that your work meets the expectations of audit management and regulators. As well as identifying process improvements, you will be required to keep up to date with regulatory and audit issues.
Our client’s requirements are as follows:
· Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
· Past work experience in a relevant role (eg: risk/audit within Life Insurance and / or Pensions)
· Flexibility with travel (15 weeks per year), sometimes up to 2-3 weeks in one trip
· Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and an ability to adapt your presenting skills depending on the audience
· Experience in making quick decisions in pressured and ambiguous environments
· Proven experience in ensuring own / other’s compliance with relevant industry regulation
· Track record in achieving objectives, as well as improving one’s own performance
· Fluency in English is mandatory
· You must be eligible to work in the UK without need for sponsorship
