Audit Manager, Group Functions

You'll specialise in auditing Group Functions and deliver audits aligned to various specialism’s, including procurement, property, Group HR, resolution planning and financial crime.

Group Finance includes central finance areas, specialist teams and divisional finance teams which support our front-line businesses. Our specialist teams are; Global Finance Services, Group Chief Accountant's, Group Corporate Finance, Group Finance Business and Executive Support, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Group Internal Audit, Group Strategy, Group Tax, Group Treasury, and Investor Relations. Our divisional teams are; Business Services Finance, Corporate Banking Finance, Markets and International Banking (MIB), Non-Core and APS Finance, and Retail, Wealth and Ulster (RWU) Finance. 

 

An integral part of Group Finance, Group Internal Audit is located across the globe with over 600 employees providing executive management with opinions on how their businesses are managing risks. These activities include the management and divestment of non-core assets, and global management of operational, regulatory, credit and market risks. Group Internal Audit’s responsibility is to help the Group return to standalone strength and respond quickly and effectively to challenges.  

As an Audit Manager, you'll lead the delivery of audits, driving the agenda for Group Functions based audits and managing teams to deliver each audit on time and within agreed methodology. You'll gain exposure to contributing to the audit plan, organising team resources, co-ordinating fieldwork and writing reports on the finding of the audit and recommending solutions to any issues raised. You will work on an integrated basis collaborating with other teams globally. The role offers exposure to senior audit stakeholders across the globe as well as travel opportunities, which will be a requirement of this role. Not only will you be dealing with technically complex processes, but you'll be operating in an environment that's under increased scrutiny from the regulators across the globe, whilst subject to unprecedented change programmes.   

 

To succeed as an Audit Manager, you'll have a proven knowledge and experience in audit and functions such as procurement, property management, HR, recovery and resolution planning, and financial crime. A finance, banking, accounting, audit or risk management qualification is essential. Naturally, you'll need the ability to foster proactive and professional relationships with stakeholders, and provide robust, challenging insight to the business. And you'll display a self-motivated approach to learning and possess good problem solving, influencing and communication skills with a proven background in leading teams.
