The Business Services Team undertakes business advisory, audit and compliance services for a range of clients. They work with predominantly ambitious, privately owned and family companies.

As an experienced Manager and Business Adviser you will work with the Partners on an interesting portfolio of clients to delivering the ‘Edge’ and coordinating services delivered by HURST teams.

Your background will incorporate time within a Big 4, second tier, or leading Regional Independent firm. Naturally, you will have Senior Manager capability and of course you have the desire to make a difference. HURST is the career step that will allow you to fulfill your ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering a high quality compliance service and other advisory services as they arise.
Maintaining excellent client relations.
Line managing and actively working with individuals in our team on their personal career development plans.
Assisting Partners with presentations to prospective clients

Role

To deliver a top quality, efficient compliance service (audit and corporation tax compliance) to a portfolio of clients providing them with the ‘Edge’ service.
To liaise and report to the client partner and other teams within the firm as necessary.
To manage the team on site and develop them ‘on the job’.
To identify opportunities to save the client time and money.
To undertake other advisory work as necessary on the clients.
To line manage nominated team members and undertake 9 weekly meetings and an annual appraisal with them to develop their skills and careers in line with their personal career development plan.
To represent the company at nominated networking functions and to raise the company’s profile by developing a network of contacts with bankers, solicitors and other professional referrers.
To manage the work in progress on each of the clients, reporting to the client partner.
To undertake CPD appropriate to your skills and maintain appropriate records.
To participate in the business planning process as required.
To achieve on an annual basis your chargeable hours target.
To work on your own personal career development plan with your line partner undertaking appropriate training and utilising the mentoring process.
