Audit Senior
This is a fantastic job opportunity for an audit senior looking to join a market-leading firm based in the centre of Edinburgh. This job is based in the commercial audit team, reporting directly to the audit manager, senior manager or director. You will be responsible for the delivery of quality work and services to clients of the firm, within the firm’s standards and within budgets set. The Audit Senior also acts as a project lead.
Your main responsibilities will include: ensuring all work carried out complies with the firm’s standards and procedures, and is on time and within budget, ensuring the quality of all work and applying all relevant technical disclosures to client work during planning phase to ensure all requirements are met (e.g. statutory filing deadlines), managing time effectively and prioritising work, preparing accurate, timely and detailed management reports, letters of representation, fees and correspondence ready to issue to the client, assisting with the preparation of tenders, identifying technical and business issues specific to a client and suggest solutions to the manager or partner, recommending additional services of the firm to the manager or partner that the client would benefit from receiving, developing and maintaining positive client relationships using effective, appropriate and timely communication methods, and briefing, delegating and reviewing the work of staff.
It is vital that you have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, have a strong, up to date technical knowledge, have experience in external audit within a commercial setting and exceptional analytical skills. It is desirable that you have internal audit experience.
It is essential that you are at least 1 year post qualification as an audit senior.
