KPMG's Papua New Guinea office is experiencing rapid growth, working with leading clients in the private and public sectors. This is fuelled in part by the US$16bn Exxon LNG project and other major resource developers, including Newcrest Mining. Against this backdrop, there are key opportunities for qualified professionals to join KPMG's busy practice in Port Moresby.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Audit Manager to help expand our market share beyond our existing portfolio of audit/assurance clients in the financial, State-owned Enterprise and private sectors into the petroleum and minerals sector, and to broaden our assurance services offering to the private sector.

A minimum of five years' experience, strong audit technical skills (planning and execution), a sound understanding of the link between audit and technology, IFRS expertise, and a hands-on approach are required for this role. Although electronic audit skills will definitely be an advantage, training will be provided.

Your Business/Accounting degree and CA/CPA qualification will support your technical skills, but it will be your excellent communication skills, up-to-date knowledge of current trends, ethical approach and clear thinking when juggling a variety of important tasks that will set you apart.

To achieve the goal of effective client engagement, you will require client-centric collaboration and the ability to go beyond the technical. Continuous process improvement, team planning, team development and engagement management should be key drivers of your style. Your ability to coach and mentor your teams will expand their business acumen and develop their capabilities in fostering strong client relationships, developing work plans and solving problems.

Remuneration is well above market norms for these roles and will include expatriate benefits. KPMG will assist with sponsorship and relocation costs.
