Audit Team Member
The incumbent will be a member of the UBS GIA Australia cross divisional Audit team performing audit assignments across the firm's Investment Banking, Wealth Management and Asset Management businesses in Australia and New Zealand. The role will report into the Australia Country head of Audit.
- Assist with the formulation of the work procedures and work processes for the cross divisional Audits performed
- Assist with the formulation of Internal Audit plans cross divisionally
- Formulate the audit templates using the Audit system for each engagement
- Participate in the on-site and off-site audit engagements and evaluate the risk profile and risk management effectiveness of the audit engagement concerned
- Complete audit working papers and draft audit report, follow up the management letter points raised during the engagement
- Act as a Responsible Auditor (RA) for Audit engagements
- Complete other audit engagements requested by regulators or other functions
- Present to various committee's / meetings concerning Audit status and developments
- Responsibilities will be adapted with the changing business needs
Requirements
- Professional Experience, Professional Qualifications and Strategic Perspective
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial services sector preferably within a large financial organisation
- Has a good understanding of the Australian regulatory environment
- Has a good understanding of risk and the Audit process and can both participate in and lead an audit
- Strong academic / professional qualifications
- Can challenge and provide input into the Audit process including overall risk assessments, detailed planning, audit work and conclusions.
- Convey information clearly, accurately and succinctly
- Effective negotiation skills, proactive and “no Surprises” approach in communicating audit results, strength in sustaining independent views, and ability to work effectively.
