Audit Technical Training Manager

The role:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the department maintains its high standards, and provide an excellent technical service internally to the staff and partners of the firm. You will be expected to oversee the overall performance and the day-top-day running of the division, implementing all core project objectives, manage a small team, design in-house training sessions and complete ad hoc projects, which may include client work.

Broad Responsibilities:
You will be expected to ensure their existing technical standards are maintained and improved where necessary, provide technical advice in response to queries form seniors such as partners and staff as well as provide technical review of the annual financial statements of any other audit client where requested. Hence it is essential that you possess up to date working knowledge of all technical accounting standards across IFRS and UK GAAP and possess strong understanding and experience of using relevant technical tools and IT packages. You will also be managing a core team and work closely with senior staff and partners, hence management experience with excellent interpersonal and communications skills are essential.

Person specification:
To be considered for the role you must be ACA/ ACCA qualified, possess strong technical skills, and have previous experience of providing technical support either within a technical training organisation or within a practice, have experience of writing and delivering training programmes. You must have strong administrative skills, be highly organised with excellent time management skills. They are also looking for a strong team player, with excellent communications skills (both written and verbal), have the ability to approach matters tactfully and professionally, take on responsibilities, undertake complex matters and resolve any challenges which may arise. This is a fast pace environment, hence adaptability is important and using your own initiative.
