Auditor 1 – Sales & Operations recruitment
Upon joining the team you will be responsible for contributing to and leading audits of:
- Sales Distribution Channels: Includes audits ofthe Branch Network, Telephone Distribution, Agency Network, and Corporate Regional Business Centres); and
- Back-Office Operations: Includes audits of Retail Back-Office Operations, Corporate Business Banking Operations, Contact Centres, and Payment Operations.
This will give you excellent visibility of operations throughout Santander UK and an opportunity to work with stakeholders across all areas and levels within the Bank. You will be involved in the effective delivery of audits and supporting more junior auditors, providing input to their development.

Santander''s Internal Audit Division is a global operation comprising more than 900 people across the world, and its Audit Reports reach the highest levels of management. The Santander UK Internal Audit Team of around 70 people is a high-quality audit function that provides independent, objective opinions on how risks are managed to management located in both Spain and the UK.

As an Auditor your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- An accountancy or auditing qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA, IIA);
- Experience of Financial Services, ideally within a large UK Bank or comparable Financial Services company;
- Proven knowledge of auditing processes and controls, with an ability to identify and evaluate key business risks;
- Experience of auditing Sales/Distribution Channels or Back-Office Operations;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential; and
- Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships.
As an Auditor your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring effective delivery of audits in accordance with Internal Audit Plan and defined methodology and quality requirements;
- Involved in all aspects of an audit engagement from planning and scoping the review, the identification of key risks, and coordination and delivery of audit field work to budget. As an Auditor you will be responsible for producing value add recommendations and Audit Reports for Senior Management;
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders across the Bank; and
Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 pa + excellent benefits
