• Global Business Services (GBS) is a market leading client services and transaction processing organization for Deutsche Bank. Operating across the globe, this dynamic and diverse division ensures that trades are captured and settled in a timely and cost efficient manner, that risk is minimized, and that the client experience is optimal.
• GBS provides business services, transaction processes and client services for businesses across DB. Core functions are spread across multiple product areas (including derivatives, securities, global finance and foreign exchange operations, loans, trust and securities), as well as cross-product functions and utilities (such as collateral management, client valuations and asset services).
• GBS strives to do things smarter, faster and more effectively to grow the firm’s profitability by means of efficient trade and services processing, offering worldclass services and minimizing operational and reputational risk.
• To do this GBS must meet the technical and operational challenges of processing transactions worth hundreds of billions of Euros every day, across multiple time zones in all the major currencies and markets.
Position Description:
Group Audit is seeking an audit professional at the Assistant Vice President or Vice President level. This role is based in New York and reports to the Principal Audit Manager for GBS (Americas). The core responsibilities of this role are:
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with group audit methodology and the established risk assessment framework.
• Provide subject matter expertise to the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) and Asset Wealth Management (AWM) audit teams as well as execute risk based audits both locally and globally.
• Draft audit reports for review by audit management, facilitate issue tracking and validate closure of issues.
• Pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business and respective support areas and work in an integrated manner with fellow group audit staff both locally and globally.
• Develop and maintain broad financial services experience and Bank knowledge. Keep abreast of business/industry changes and their affect on the DB plan/approach.
• Occasional travel may be required.
