The Role

As part of the Group Audit team you will support the business in the achievement of its strategic goals, focusing on significant risk that could threaten the Group’s business and control objectives.

Specific responsibilities in the role will include;

-          Providing specific risk input to the development of the rolling audit plan.

-          Assisting the Portfolio Manager in planning and determining the audit scope for relevant engagements and reviewing work subsequently.

 

-          Planning, scoping and delivering audits identified in the audit plan in compliance with the Group Audit standards.

-          Agreement of final audit reports and corrective actions with senior management and ensuring agreed actions are tracked and implemented.

-          Involvement in strategic corporate change projects, providing controls and risk consultancy.

-          Provision of controls, risk and governance counsel to the business as required within areas of knowledge.

-          Working with a specific range of contacts and resources to develop technical, commercial knowledge/business awareness.

 

The Candidate

 

You should have a proven track record as a qualified accountant or an auditor within the insurance sector or alternatively may have gained experience in the life insurance industry, specialising in areas such as insurance product portfolios, distribution, core processes such as underwriting, servicing or claims and/or have gained experience in the regulatory environment.

Experience of auditing strategic change projects would be of particular interest.
