Summary of the Minimum Requirements:

The position description 'Minimum Requirements' are listed below:

Auto Body Estimator Minimum Requirements:
Determines automotive body damage by conducting inspections and examinations.

Develops estimates by costing parts, supplies, and labor; calculates customer's payment, including deductibles.

Obtains insurance estimates by contacting insurance companies; reviewing damage estimates with insurance adjuster; resolving repair and replacement requirements.

Prepares electronic estimate and Repair Orders (RO) by describing repair and replacement services required; calculates paint time and materials; calculates labor cost; may be required to obtain approval signatures.

Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging temporary transportation if not provided by customer policy.

Maintains body shop records by recording repair and replacement actions.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.

Enhances body shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills/Qualifications:
PA Auto Body Estimating License, Customer Service Skills, Planning, Analyzing Information, Computer Skills to include ADP Dealer Operating System and various Estimating programs, Reporting Results, Attention to Detail, Informing Others, Adheres to all Safety Rules.
