Summary: Provides data and analytical capabilities which support the strategy and operations of the Auto Claim Product. This position will support the many areas within the Auto Claim Product Management Group as well as other business units across the enterprise (e.g. Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance). The position requires an individual with excellent communication and problem solving skills, and experience in querying large complex data sets, and the ability to effectively explain complex analysis to a diverse population across the enterprise. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Claim Analytics: -Contributes to the achievement of business objectives through accurate and timely development and delivery of quantitative business analysis and reports both adhoc and recurring. -Conducts competitive and industry analyses and benchmarking studies. -Proactively attends to the business intelligence needs of the various functions and initiatives of Auto Claim. -Develops strong understanding of Auto data, fields, and metrics. -Recognizes data discrepancies, determines drivers, and works through to a solution. -Seeks opportunities to develop workflow efficiencies and process improvements. -Masters day-to-day system tools and learns new software as needed including dash-boarding tools. -Develops and implements workflows, training, and reports that improve effective utilization of claim information and protects and maintains the integrity of data. -Collaborates with Claim Business Intelligence Analytics and IT to achieve optimal solutions for repeatable analytics and production reporting; continuously evaluate the Business Intelligence portfolio to ensure current business strategies are supported. -Understands and documents total data flow and recommends appropriate changes to systems or process to correct any data quality problems encountered. -Champions quality and accuracy of data; brings issues and recommendations to management and participates in execution of corrective action plans. Claim Strategy and Field Support: -Supports management with thedevelopment of reports and presentation materials exhibiting business unit results, initiatives and other claim financial and operational information. -Collaborates with business partners in the continuous evaluation, diagnosis, and understanding of product performance. -Investigates new technology and the application for improving business process and increasing productivity. -Collaborates with claim management, claim legal and other claim product areas to develop new resources to increase sales and productivity, reduce expenses, and/or improve claim results and customer service through workflow and process efficiencies.
