After a successful 2011 the Automated Market Making team is expanding, and as part of this, they are looking for an elite C++ market making developer. The team is responsible for providing continuous electronic markets for listed options on numerous exchanges; trading tens of thousands of individual options using a small team of experienced software developers, traders, quants, and system administrators, led by one of the experts in the industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full life cycle: researching, designing, implementing, and supporting software in a highly-distributed, low-latency, real-time trading environment. In addition, further responsibilities will include maintenance and upgrades of previously developed software infrastructure.
This is an exciting opportunity for an equity options market making developer, who has had several years of experience in real-time, low-latency trading systems. There is tremendous opportunity for growth. As your experience and understanding of the market grows, it is anticipated that you will play a greater involvement in the enhancement and generation of not just the system but also novel equity options strategies.
Your profile:
- An MSc in a quantitative or computer science discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics from a globally elite institution.
- 3+ years experience in the full life cycle of development using C++ in a Linux/Unix environment focused on high-performance, low latency, real-time trading systems.
- Experience of US equity options market making is highly desirable.
- Elite programming skills with at least 4-5 years hands on daily use of C++ (ideally including STL and/or Boost) is essential.
- A good knowledge of Java, Perl Shell scripting languages is also desirable.
- Strong quantitative and leadership skills, with the willingness and ability to work in partnership with Ph.D level quantitative traders, managing development projects.
- Team player, happy to work in a collegiate environment.
