Automation Engineering Technician
Job Description:
The Automation Eng. Tech will report directly to the Project Manager and assist in the development, construction, installation, training, and programming of custom automation equipment; as well as maintain, repair, and improve existing systems.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in design, fabrication, programming, and commissioning of automated equipment, sensing systems, vision systems, and robotics.
· Wiring, testing, and implementation of electronic control system.
· Troubleshoot and repair of both mechanical and electrical components.
· Create documentation material for newly developed automation equipment, e.g., maintenance and operations manuals.
· Program PLC's, CNC, cameras, and robotic system
Skills:
· AutoCAD
· Excel
· PLC programming (ladder)
· Visual C# programming or equivalent structured language
· Knowledge of fundamental Robot and CNC operations or equivalent experience
· Knowledge and practical experience with electromechanical systems, sensors, pneumatics, wiring, and PLC's.
Ideal candidate would have a two year technical degree in robotics or mechatronics with project experience such a SAE competition, US First, or laboratory projects.
