AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATION / PRODUCT ENGINEER

STUTTGART, GERMANY
A major corporation with manufacturing facilities around the globe our client supplies a range of “under the bonnet” electromechanical components and sub-systems, to high profile OEM and T1 customers in the European Automotive sector.
They have recently opened a “state of the art” R D Centre near Stuttgart, Germany, committed to developing new products of exceptional quality and performance. And they are now seeking to strengthen their Application / Product Engineering team.
Reporting to an Engineering Manager the role will be a key interface, supporting Sales Engineers with client presentations, defining and agreeing the technical specifications, liaising with Customer Engineering teams, whilst working closely with the design, production and quality teams, to oversee the progress of new product developments.
Ideally educated to Degree level in Engineering [Electromechanical, mechatronic or electronics] you will have gained several years applications /projects experience with Electromechanical components or sub-systems, for the Automotive sector.
Comfortable in front of customers and commercially astute, you must have highly developed planning / organisational skills, as well as a “can do” and continuous improvement approach.
Fluent in English, a second European language, especially German, would be valuable, but is not essential.
