Our customer located in Troy, MI is looking to fill the role of Automotive Parts Research Analyst on a long-term contractual basis.
Position Overview:
Researches automotive original equipment manufacturer specifications data related to vehicle maintenance. Utilizes research to update content in library of electronic databases. Organizes data and completes editing assignments according to set standards for completeness, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Responsible for maintaining records, files of work, and revisions as part of the assigned activities. May edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other analyst’s. Must be able to meet deadlines, take direction, and work well with others.
Essential Job Functions / Skills:
Ø Knowledge of automotive components and systems.
Ø Proficiency in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite applications (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel and Access).
Ø Ability to acquire needed specification content from OEM websites or other sources.
Ø Ability to accurately enter data into a data table.
Ø Ability to perform basic mathematical conversions (i.e., converting fractions to decimals, converting English values to metric values).
Ø Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ø Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with little supervision.
Ø Ability to multi-task.
Educational Requirements:
Ø High school diploma required (some college preferred).
Desired (But Not Required):
Ø ASE or State of Michigan automotive technician certification in one or more areas.
