Automotive Production Process Engineer Job in Northampton, Midlands UK
Automotive Production process Engineer required to join exciting major projects involved in the planning and launch of robot equipped production lines. A “hand on approach” you will need strong product and design appreciation understanding the impact of critical functionalities on both jig and fixture in volume production, interpret technical drawings and a proven track record of buy in terms of volume manufacturing.
The Automotive Production Process Engineer will be responsible for process planning and organisation meeting volume targets, quality, cost and delivery measures and have machine sense. Able to develop and fully understand the machine during machine build process and work in conjunction with the machine suppliers. You will also need to be able to negotiate machine modification to conclude planning and facilitating delivery.
The Production Process Engineer will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, HNC or similar, welding and robots appreciation and have theory and practical knowledge of lean manufacturing and six-sigma techniques.
