This position will be responsible for quality support for internal project teams, and advanced external supplier development under the umbrella of advanced quality planning. This is a new position with the intent to proactively improve products, processes and suppliers using lessons learned, APQP, six sigma, etc. Candidates should have a proven track record of technical competence, system development, and self motivation. The successful candidate for this position will have a heavy hand in the creation of the scope and depth of this position.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide advanced quality support for electronic (SSL) development projects
- Work with suppliers on advancing their capabilities through the adoption and/or development of tools such as six sigma, APQP, etc. These tools should be used to create new or more robust processes that ultimately improve the quality of the end products - Act as team member on internal project teams to facilitate the Quality gate and safe launch methodologies.
- Support internal business process improvement teams as necessary.
