You must have great customer service skills with a courteous and professional approach. Ideally you need to have City Guilds / NVQ in Motor Vehicle, with a good practical knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical workings to provide accurate and safe vehicle diagnosis for their members. You will be using top of the range diagnostic equipment, have a helpdesk to call on, with a vehicle and uniform being provided.

Working as an AA Patrol is not a 9am-to-5pm, Monday-to-Friday job. The AA has to ensure that their members receive the expert level of service required whenever they need it. Because of this, you'll be working shifts - working evenings, weekends and bank holidays are the norm. You'll be on standby for some additional hours each month. You'll have the opportunity to state a preference for a shift pattern and to reduce or increase the level of standby.
