Our Service Writer / Customer Service Representative (CSR) will:
- Represent Midas by being the direct point of contact for all customers.
- Consistently provide excellent customer service in all areas.
- Provide customers with an explanation of necessary vehicle repairs and suggested maintenance.
- Communicate with customers in a professional, timely manner; courteous and friendly.
- Work productively and efficiently without taking shortcuts.
- Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the shop, and customer waiting areas.
- Consistently follow all shop policies and procedures.
- Generate customer estimates and invoices.
- Handle all payments and transactions.
- Assist Shop Manager with opening and closing routines.
- Work safely.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High School diploma required. Two-year Associates degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years sales and/or customer service experience required.
- Some prior automotive experience or knowledge of automotive repair services required.
Candidates with no prior automotive experience need not apply. - Outstanding customer service skills; displays a friendly, helpful attitude towards all customers.
- Have a willingness to learn and build upon automotive technical knowledge.
- Must be comfortable in an automotive retail / vehicle repair environment.
- Able to lift 25 lbs, and continuously move around all areas of the shop.
- Familiarity with a POS software system to generate estimates and invoices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule having regular, consistent attendance.
- Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
- Honest and acts with integrity.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Detail-orientated.
