The Company
Our Client, a leading European Bank, is one of the largest banking and financial services institutions in the world with presence in more than 80 countries. They provide a comprehensive range of financial services: personal financial services; commercial banking; corporate, investment banking and markets; private banking; and other activities.

The Role
- Member of the Run The Bank (RTB) team to support systems used by Wealth Management Division (Asia ex Japan).
- Engage in helpdesk activities for Wealth Management systems:
o Ensure requests from Wealth Management users in Asia ex Japan are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
o Identify cause of system issues and provide remedy/workaround for the user or escalate the problem to vendor /CTB team.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Mandarin or Cantonese a big plus) at all levels with the ability to present information in a professional and mature manner.

Responsibilities:
- Day to Day support of all applications supporting Wealth Management business. This includes Morning and/or Evening Operation Duties, and manning the Wealth Management Helpdesk.
- Monitor critical components of the system and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Participate in Release Management activities for Wealth Management systems.
- Conduct software application testing and sanity checks during regular IT maintenance.
- Participate in Parameterisation activities for Avaloq banking system.
- Participate in preparing ad-hoc reports for users.
- Work closely with CTB members for system changes.
- Work closely with regional IT teams to maintain the systems used by the applications.
- Conduct user training and briefing of Wealth Management systems.
- Participate in Business Continuity Planning and Exercises.
- Participate in regional and/or global projects

Your Profile
The idea candidate will be able to:

Required:
- Recognised Degree or Diploma
- Hands-on knowledge on Structured Query Language (SQL) for Oracle 11g and Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2007.
- Hands-on knowledge on basic Unix commands and scripting.

Preferred:
- Business Information Science, Computer Science or Engineering disciplines,
- Completed Avaloq Certification training (nice to have)
- Hands-on knowledge for AUTOSYS (job scheduler)
- ITIL v3 or similar qualifications
- Demonstrate basic financial understanding in FX/MM/Equity/Derivatives and associated front to back operational workflow
