AVP
Responsibilities include analyzing, originating and preparation of loan proposals. Negotiate and structure loan documentation with supervisor, service a portfolio of commercial loan customers, develop new business relationships and assist senior officers with the analysis and write ups of larger relationships.
- Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines their loan repayment capabilities.
- Evaluates potential customer loan request and makes loan recommendations to management.
- Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment t methods and collateral specifications.
- Reviews new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution and makes recommendations to management when necessary.
- Develops new commercial relationships in Southern NH and Seacoast markets..
- Provides regular reports to senior management on new and suggested improvements to lending strategies, goals, activities and related information.
- Makes retention and business development calls on existing and potential new clients.
- Discusses client needs, problems and complaints with senior management
- Arranges meetings between clients or prospective clients and appropriate financial institution representatives.
- Reviews list, records, newspapers, etc. for business development leads.
- Represents the bank in various civic and community functions to enhance its image and develop new business.
- Promotes favorable image of the bank in all business activities within the community.
- Assists in products and service development to ensure customer satisfaction and the bank’s profitability. Recommends upgrades, elimination or future development of under-performing products and services and development or introduction of new products and services when necessary.
- Good communication, sales, public relations skills, interviewing and research skills.
- Basic understanding of the bank’s policies and procedures.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
The ideal candidate will have at least 5-10 years of commercial lending experience. Strong credit skills a must. Strong computer skills recommended, including word and excel. The candidate will have a four year college degree in preferably in finance or a related field.
