Responsibilities
Provide Leadership:
- Effectively manage and mentor reporting staff members, prepare performance evaluations and provide regular feedback
- Provide strong leadership for all US Account Management activities ensuring all Structured Finance Line of Business managers are aware of any issues that may impact the continued growth of the business, elevating concerns and team successes where necessary
- Ensure a consistent approach is taken for all matters relating to Account Management across the US teams and wherever possible matches with other global teams
- Develop a high level understanding of the regulatory framework and the impact on rating franchise
- Responsible for effective planning for timely launch and/or urgent public announcements to customers
Retain Customers and Cross Sell:
- Retain existing customers and maximize our market share by proactively pitching MIS value proposition
- Deliver great customer service and build strong relationships with existing Issuers and intermediaries
- Cross-sell various MIS products and services
Pricing:
- Actively manage all aspects of commercial relationships at engagement level with existing issuers in the US with the support of the US teams including leading high-level discussions with customers to explain fee approach and resolve pricing disputes.
- Negotiate fee increases and discuss moody's rating application terms and conditions with the customer
- Participation in annual and ongoing pricing review including modelling, analysis of impact, suggestions for pricing changes to Senior Management and timely notification to issuers
Cross Functional Support:
- Work closely with LOB management to ensure a high level of support on all commercial issues to ensure clear understanding of product offered.
- Work with Collections and Billing team to resolve any outstanding issues and to enable issuers to pay outstanding invoices
- Work closely with the Relationship Management Operations group to Identify opportunities and Propose ideas to build process efficiencies
Adhoc Projects:
- Support various internal projects if and as required
Qualifications
- Min. 10 years relevant experience in financial services in a client facing role supported by an appropriate academic financial qualification
- Strong academic background. Undergraduate degree required. Degree in Finance or Accounting would be an advantage
- Team leadership experience
- Knowledge of the financial market
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound judgment and strong negotiation skills - capable of developing independent opinions and defending own views
- Credible with Senior Management - ability to communicate at the highest levels of the corporate hierarchy
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office/Excel knowledge and knowledge of other applications
- Willingness to travel
