Department Description
The primary purpose of Finance is to maintain a rigorous financial control environment; ensure the maintenance of proper accounting records and the preparation of appropriate financial reports for the Group, regulators and management. We also ensure compliance with tax, company law and regulations; as well as support business heads with the effective planning / control / monitoring of profitability, balance sheet and risk.
We are looking for dynamic individual to join us as Assistant Vice President, Accounting Controls in Finance Division.
Principal Accountabilities
• Responsible for Nostro Account Reconciliation and General Ledger / Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Oversee performance of Service Provider for off-shored nostro reconciliation process
• Responsible for finance operations such as internal controls, business continuity / Avian Influenza plan and Business Information Risk Officer (BIRO) support
• Participates in User Acceptance Test for bankwide projects impacting the balance sheet
• Responsible for on-site checking of General Ledger reconciliation
Skills/Attributes
• Degree holder in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent with minimum 2 years of finance experience, preferably with knowledge of accounting and/or maintenance of financial system
• Demonstrates integrity compliance with corporate code of conduct / ethical standards
• Possess good understanding of audit, compliance; risk requirements promotes adherence
• Possess skill in critically reviewing processes and ability to suggest improvements
• Organized, analytical, numerate, with a keen eye for details
• Able to communicate interact well with all levels.
