AVP/ Analyst – Public Finance recruitment
Responsibilities
-Individual will analyze a wide variety of local government debt transactions for Moody's US Public Finance Group's Eastern Regional Ratings Team.
-quantitative and qualitative analysis of credit quality
-developing in-depth knowledge of the region and specific states, building relationships with investors, underwriters and issuers, and managing assigned strategic relationships
-Writing and publication of high quality issuer and sector publications is required. Individual must be able to manage multiple priority tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
- The position requires moderate travel.
Qualifications
-Undergraduate and graduate degrees required; MBA, MPA or MPP preferred.
-Knowledge of accounting, economics or statistics a plus.
-Strong quantitative aptitude and demonstrated analytical ability.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication research skills required.
- Minimum of 3-7 years of financial markets experience preferred.
-Government programmatic, budgeting or financial experience a plus.
-Proficiency in MS Word Excel required.
