The Company
My client, a leading bank is urgently seeking a highly experienced AVP, Application Development to manage application software projects in accordance with user needs and specifications and provide guidance and direction for all activities of application software teams.
The Role
The key responsibilities are manage and develop software development projects, provide project plan, set objectives, identify resources, resolve constrains and deliver good quality banking applications. You will evaluate user requests and recommend solution to the business end-user and ensure effective communication in place between users and IT team members within project and also cross projects. You will also be required to negotiate with vendors, users for the purpose to ensure the developed/acquired application software is cost effective and maintain up-to-date project file and ensure the design work are well documented. You will provide technical support to ensure round the clock operation including Disaster Recovery Site Support within the bank.
Your Profile
Successful candidates will have in-depth software development experience of banking applications in banking industry with at least 6 years experience as a System Analyst. You have experience in loan systems will be highly preferred. You will have hands on experience in either one of the programming languages such as Java, C++ or C# on IBM Mainframe and UNIX or Windows platform. You are familiar with Software Development Life Cycle and Design Methodology. You must also be fluent in both written and spoken English and be proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin.
