AVP /ASSOCIATE – REGIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT recruitment

Working closely with the Head of Sales, your main responsibilities will be to support the sales team covering the regions outside Asia ex Japan in terms of market analysis, client database analysis, pitch book preparation, ad hoc power point preparation, client follow up, creating and maintaining global client lists as well as market research. You will set up client meetings, attend client meetings from time to time, draft minutes from client meetings and following up designated tasks after meetings, as well as liaise with internal departments such as risk management, portfolio management, product management and operations in order to get input to fulfil required client requests. In addition, you will assist in any other projects which may be assigned from time to time. Over time this role can develop into a junior sales role where the emphasis will be more strongly on direct sales to clients.

To be qualified, you must with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of successful business development in an institutional investment sales environment. Excellent working knowledge of the investment industry and investment management techniques across all asset classes. Ability to network and close opportunities within chosen segment. Excellent communications and client servicing skills in both English and Chinese. Any European language should be a strong advantage.
