AVP Bank Regulatory Reporting Job in Jersey City, New Jersey US

Supporting the regulatory team within a global investment bank

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports that are submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank, various State banking departments and the Department of Commerce by all U.S. branches and agencies, including its subsidiaries and special purpose entities.

·         Review all required regulatory and financial reports and to ensure their correctness, consistency and prompt submission.

·         Liaise with various internal (i.e. Legal, Compliance, Audit, Territory Governance, Finance Project Office and Business Operations) and external constituencies (i.e. regulators, external auditors and consultants).

·         Participate in bank examinations and internal and external audits.

·         Perform research on changes on new regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards and its impact to the group’s reporting.

·         Establish and maintain communication with the Financial Reporting Group, the Project Office Group, and the Control Reconciliation Group and ensure that regulatory reporting requirements are properly addressed on all levels of system and procedural changes, including the introduction of new bank products.

·         Special projects relating to the bank’s regulatory reporting tool maintenance and upgrades, GL system interfaces and the introduction of new banking products.

 

Requirements:

 

·         5+ years’ experience within bank regulatory control and reporting

·         A comprehensive knowledge of all reports that are due to the Federal Reserve Bank, the various State banking regulatory authorities, the Department of Commerce and Cayman Islands Monetary Authority is critical

·         Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and methods

·         Knowledge of the bank’s regulatory reporting tools (i.e. Reg-Reporter V.6.0, DART system etc.), general ledgers, offered products and its related activities.

·         Excellent verbal and written presentation skills

·         Bachelor’s degree required
