AVP- Capital Management, APAC (General Insurance) recruitment

Chartis is looking to hire an AVP for our growing Capital Management function. Located in Singapore, the regional office oversees business operations throughout Asia-Pacific. This role offers significant exposure to local and regional senior management, with much opportunity for career advancement.

Job description:
- Maintenance of existing credit ratings, and obtaining new ratings as appropriate
- Responsible for ensuring that all statutory capital needs are met on a timely basis, involving successful advance submission of business cases to Home Office
- Drive analytics and adoption of RoE and risk-adjusted profit methodology across region
- Tracking and projection of statutory capital positions, along with identifying opportunities for better usage of capital, drive process to redeploy capital as needed
- Further advance capital modeling, stress-testing
- Support ongoing legal entity restructuring throughout region
- Responsible for all business valuations in the region, whether performed internally or by a third party
- Responsible for assisting business units with MA activity in the region
- Support for ad-hoc senior management presentations

Requirements:
- Ability to work on own initiative and appropriately prioritize work
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the phone with broad cross-section of colleagues (by country and by function)
- General insurance experience a plus, though not mandatory
- Strong academic results. Graduate degree required, Masters preferable.
- 5yrs+ of relevant work experience for AVP role
