AVP – Change and Support Analyst – Risk Control Operations
Risk Control Operations has the following key responsibilities:
• Performing regular controls thus ensuring data quality across the Credit and Market Risk infrastructure.
• Analysing material movements in risk exposure to determine reasonableness and drivers.
• Input and maintenance of Risk owned data, including internal ratings and limit points.
• Providing support to the Risk community for exposure, data, and system queries.
• Managing exposures, especially those in excess of Risk appetite.
This is a Change and Support role with primary responsibility for delivering and supporting Risk Change initiatives and supporting day to day Risk Officer queries and requests. The role based in London will require close interaction with the Singapore and Off Shore Operational teams and will have responsibility for providing premium Risk Support to Risk Officers across APAC, EMEA and US regions.
Working closely with Derivatives Middle Office responsibilities also include the oversight of the quality and integrity of data being fed into the Market Risk systems and ensuring compliance with our control frameworks.
Although predominantly a maintenance change and support role, the Risk Control environments are currently going through significant strategic and transformational change programmes of work, incorporating complete re-platforming and re-definition of associated business processes and the successful candidate will be required to provide input into the future state operating models.
Your job will include:
• Management of the data quality processes; and provision of premium support to the Risk Officers and Risk Reporting teams globally.
• Responsibility for defining new business processes and improving the existing operating procedures.
• Change project related activities such as involvement in defining business requirements and coordination of User Acceptance Testing.
• Building solid working relationships with Risk Officers and Operational teams in London, Singapore and Poland.
• Close liaison with other functions across The Bank, including IB Ops and Front Office support teams, IT and change project teams, and Risk Reporting.
The ideal candidate will have/be the following:
• An effective verbal and written communicator
• Reasonably skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Excel and MS Access being advantageous.
• A fast learner with the ability to get up to speed quickly with new processes and IT applications/ infrastructure.
• Outgoing and personable, with the confidence to deal with varied groups of stakeholders and levels of seniority.
• Able to work to tight deadlines and handle business pressures.
• Reasonably numerate.
• Highly organised, with the ability to balance numerous tasks and responsibilities.
• Experienced in Investment Banking, preferably within a Risk Control function. Market Risk knowledge being a distinct advantage.
• A University graduate, or equivalent preferably with Business/ Maths/ Economics/ Finance background..
