AVP Commodities – Metals & Exotics recruitment
The introduction of new products on the exotics desk has necessitated the recruitment of an experienced Product Controller to be responsible for staff management and daily profit loss production / reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity to take your Commodities Product Control career forwards within an ambitious, market-leading Investment Bank.
Duties responsibilities include:
- Daily PL production and reporting for the Metals and Exotics desk
- Staff management responsibilities
- Reconcile PL with General ledger, control any breaks and produce explain
- Daily liaison with the desk/traders to ensure PL controlled as effectively as possible
- Liaison with business partners across Front Office, Operations and Market Risk among others
- Involvement with ongoing project work related to systems testing/integration, operating model implementation and the enhancement of controls and efficiencies
Candidate profile / skills required:
- Exposure to Commodities products – specifically precious and base Metals and/or Exotic products (in a line PL role or otherwise)
- Ideally knowledge of greeks break down / PL explain
- Ideally in possession of accounting skills and/or qualification
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills / experience
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Access skills
