Job Purpose/Role
Leads Allianz of America (AZOA)Compensation function by providing compensation, rewards and governance strategies which support client and stakeholder's business strategies. Oversees design of compensation programs consistent with strategy. Negotiates executive compensation, agreements, and release agreements. Deploys resources to implement, manage, administer and monitor compensation programs.
Key Responsibilities
-Understand Operating Entity (OE) business strategies and HR compensation implications
-Develop compensation strategies and tactics which enable and support business strategies
-Broker compensation expertise for multiple companies and business units
-Develop plan documents, and execute and administer complex compensation plans
-Develop and negotiate US and multi-country executive compensation, severance and release agreements
-Influence key stakeholders (e.g. HR leaders, OE Executive Leadership Group, parent company HR) to adopt best practice compensation solutions.
-Maintain expertise and best practice knowledge in base pay, incentive, sales and executive compensation practices.
-Ensure legal compliance and effective governance practices are in place
-Evaluates and monitors effectiveness of existing compensation programs
-Provides expertise and contributes to Allianz global compensation function
-Develops and deploys effective compensation communication techniques and materials
-Manages four person compensation staff
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
-Deep knowledge of US core, incentive, sales and executive compensation practices, issues, and competitive market
-Demonstrated thought leadership to create and design competitive, cost effective solutions to compensation challenges
-Deep knowledge of legal and governance related to development, administration and negotiation of plan documents and individual employment, severance and release agreements
-Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence a variety of senior executive clients and stakeholders
-Skill in developing strategies and solutions which align with multiple stakeholder needs
-Track record of developing comprehensive HR solutions with HR colleagues
-Experience in quickly developing and maintaining credibility and influence with clients, colleagues, Board/Compensation Committee members and other stakeholders
-General knowledge of other HR disciplines with ability to develop integrated solutions
-Experience in dealing with parent firm to develop aligned solutions
-Strong analytical capabilities and ability to maintain accuracy
-Ability to develop and effectively manage governance processes
-Skill to manage multiple priorities and issues at same time
-Effective at managing projects and obtaining results
-Vendor management experience
-Ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop a small team
