Global Asset Services supports clients in 79 markets – Global Market Equities, Prime Finance, Emerging Markets, Fixed Income Domestic Custody services. It has 650 GBS professionals located in 31 cities. One of its largest and key operating hub is based in DBOI Mumbai. The team in Mumbai provides front to back processing operations, covering all Voluntary and Mandatory events, across both Equity and Fixed Income products

The Asset Services AVP will provide daily support and guidance to staff within the department and will work closely with Team Managers (direct reportees), co-VP and Head of Asset Services to address operational issues and work on other Strategic Initiatives for Asset Services.
The candidate will have a good understanding of Global Equity and Fixed Income markets, across Voluntary and Mandatory Events
Responsible for ensuring that day to day operations function smoothly and issues are resolved for teams. Responsible for transitioning of any new process within Asset Services area from formulating strategy, hiring people, working in partnership with the various global locations to ensure all training requirements are in place and will play as SPOC to accomplish the smooth transitioning. Other responsibilities include cross -training, subject matter expertise creation, succession planning, Preparation of Management reports and Departmental initiatives, and interfacing with the different departments and the various Asset Servicing locations to ensure timely and accurate processing of all activities on a daily basis within the given timelines. The AVP would also be responsible for other activities like BCM, Audits, Transformation, operational risk control and people related initiatives and represent DBOI Asset Services in various forums like Operational Review Board, Performance Review Board and other organizational initiatives.
The candidate will be self motivated with a continuous focus on Global Strategy Development, be able to drive change keeping in mind the organisations key objectives of Control, Capacity, Cost, Client and Completeness.

Process Management
- Ensure timely and accurate service delivery
- Act as central point of contact for all the process related issues / improvements etc.
- Review daily benchmark reports for each of the process lines, investigate benchmark breaches with the onshore counterparts and work to improve the process
- Liaising with relevant IT teams to resolve any technical issues that prevent the optimum performance of the processes
- Drive creation of subject matter expertise within team through structured training program
- Partner with onshore and drive initiatives to meet changing business requirements
- Ensure that operational controls are adequate and performed as required
- Effectively manage risk and foster an environment that is knowledgeable about risk, abides by risk guidelines controls
- Partner your other regional counterparts to achieve a global, regional or product consistent framework for the services provided

Change Management
- Lead Process Improvement through innovation and transformation projects.
- Partner with global change team to roll out various strategic / non strategic change programs
- Manage transitions within Asset Services area. As receiving side manager, partner internal groups to ensure effective planning and implementation as new projects onboard into the group. All project migrations should be delivered on time, in scope and within budget.
- Participate lead cross-departmental initiatives formulated to create or improve existing functionality and processes.

Client Management
- Responsible for managing client expectations through seamless services delivery
- Remain accessible to your client, respond to queries from Trading, Sales, Operations, Middle Office and Finance
