The Bank:
A top tier global investment bank is looking for highly experienced internal auditors to join their Corporate Risk Audit team. This team focuses on providing senior management, Board of Directors and regulators with independent assurance that internal controls are effectively and efficiently operating. With over 600 auditors worldwide, this investment bank’s audit function is still expanding following ever-evolving pressure from the regulators. This bank offers several opportunities for internal mobility; both within the audit function and into the business, and this bank is renowned for offering fantastic training and development opportunities.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be assessing the control environment supporting the firm’s risk management and operations, primarily around credit risk but also covering market, model, operational and country risk. This role covers the investment bank and corporate risk, and you also work with the corporate team on Basel and ICAAP audits. You will be required to cultivate relationships with senior stakeholders within risk, and you will be relied upon to provide controls related advice to them. Work will cover areas including Legal Entity, Basel III, CVA, Economic Capital, Wholesale Allowance and MRA Valuations. The role will cover the following products: equities, securitisation, OTC derivatives, FX, ratings and credit approval
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Previous exposure to risk management, especially credit and operational risk
• Experience with ICAAP and stress testing
• Audit experience is not mandatory but it is preferred
• Strong regulatory knowledge (Basel 2, 2.5, 3)
• Good IT knowledge
• At least 5 years of experience across The Big Four and investment banking
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Solid interpersonal skills with ability to present complex ideas to senior management
• Strong team player, also able to work well individually
• Experience in dealing with complex derivatives
• Fluency in English is mandatory
• You must be able to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
